The open ground floor provides a continuity from inside to out.  The spaces above are screened with a wood lattice made from locally-sourced materials to provide a sense of privacy.

Area: 2500 SF

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Project: 2012

This project is developed in 2 stories. The ground floor is permeable to the exterior with unrestricted views from the front to the back of the house. The veranda is the respectful reference to the old country house, but with a more modern approach. The lack of columns makes the spaces flow from the inside out and vice-versa.

The private and intimate space of the upper floor is protected by a wooden screen.   At certain spaces, the screen is solid or contrastingly open depending on the impact of light and shadow.
