PROJECT DESCRIPTION

When designing the facade for this mixed-use multi-story building complex our focus was to design a building that adds an aesthetic value to the street frontage but at the same time improve the quality of life of the surrounding urban fabric the building affects either directly or indirectly. To create an elevated user experience within and outside the building we designed the project to focus on the development of a better street-life, where encounters, interactions and social gathering can happen on a daily basis. This will indirectly bolster the development of a healthy and safe community.
This was achieved by focusing on vital but minimal design aspects such as the scale of the commercial space, the width of the street, building set-backs, location of the trees and the street furniture. This results in a situation where the community and the building are in a symbiotic relationship, mutually benefiting each other.
